About the service

Sun Cyprus Group, with registered office at Ydras 7, 501-B, Germasogeia – 4047, Limassol, Cyprus (hereinafter “Sun Cyprus Group”, “we”, “us” or “our”), operates an online platform (hereinafter the “Platform” or “Website”), a digital directory dedicated to boat rentals in Cyprus and surrounding areas.

The Platform enables boat owners to publish rental listings and allows interested users to discover, filter, and request bookings for available vessels. Sun Cyprus Group acts solely as a technology intermediary and is not a contractual party to any rental agreement concluded between users.

Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using the Platform, you fully and unconditionally accept these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms in their entirety, you must immediately cease using the Website.

Sun Cyprus Group reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Changes will take effect upon publication on the Website. Continued use of the Platform following any such publication constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

Registration and account

To access the main features of the Platform, you must create a personal account by providing a valid email address and choosing a secure password. The registration process is protected by Google reCAPTCHA to prevent automated or fraudulent registrations.

Upon registration, your public profile includes: your username, email address, and — optionally — a personal or business description (maximum 140 characters), the languages you speak, and a profile picture if uploaded. This information is visible to other registered users of the Platform.

You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities carried out under your account. If you suspect your account has been compromised, you must notify Sun Cyprus Group immediately at info@suncyprus.net.

User roles: renters and owners

The Platform recognises two primary user roles: users who search for and request the rental of a vessel (hereinafter “Renters”) and users who list their own vessel to make it available for hire by others (hereinafter “Owners”).

Owners undertake to provide accurate, current and truthful information regarding their listed vessels, including descriptions, availability, condition and rental terms. Sun Cyprus Group does not verify the accuracy of listings and accepts no liability for inaccurate or misleading information published by Owners.

Renters are solely responsible for independently assessing the suitability of any vessel for their intended purposes, and for confirming all rental details directly with the Owner prior to entering into any financial agreement.

Bookings and payments

The Platform allows users to search and filter available vessels and to contact Owners to request a booking. Communication between the parties takes place via the integrated chat system on the Website or via email, outside of the Platform.

Sun Cyprus Group does not handle, process or facilitate payments of any kind. All financial agreements relating to a rental are concluded directly between the Renter and the Owner. Once an agreement is reached, the vessel’s availability status is manually updated to “Booked” by the platform administration or an authorised user.

In the event of a dispute between users, Sun Cyprus Group may, at its sole discretion, offer assistance in mediation, without assuming any obligation or liability in doing so.

Personal data and privacy

Sun Cyprus Group processes users’ personal data in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR – EU Regulation 2016/679) and applicable data protection legislation in Cyprus.

Data collected at the time of registration (email address, username and optional profile information) is used solely for the operation of the Platform, account management and communication with users. It is not sold or shared with third parties for commercial purposes.

The registration process is protected by Google reCAPTCHA v3. Use of this service involves data processing by Google in accordance with Google’s own Privacy Policy, which we encourage you to consult independently.

You have the right to access, rectify, erase or port your personal data, and to object to its processing, by submitting a written request to info@suncyprus.net. For further details, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

Content and user conduct

Users agree to use the Platform in a lawful, honest and respectful manner towards other users. It is strictly prohibited to publish false, misleading, offensive, discriminatory or third-party rights-infringing content.

The following activities are also prohibited: using the Platform for spam or unauthorised promotional purposes; attempting to compromise the security or integrity of the Website; creating multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or suspensions; and collecting data from other users without their explicit consent.

Sun Cyprus Group reserves the right to remove content deemed non-compliant with these Terms and to suspend or delete the account of the responsible user, without prior notice.

Limitation of liability

The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Sun Cyprus Group does not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the service, the absence of errors, or the suitability of the Platform for any particular purpose.

Sun Cyprus Group shall not be liable for: direct or indirect damages arising from the use of or inability to use the Platform; the behaviour, non-performance or unlawful conduct of other users; content published by Owners; or loss of data and service interruptions caused by events beyond Sun Cyprus Group’s reasonable control.

Intellectual property

All content on the Platform created by Sun Cyprus Group — including but not limited to texts, graphics, logos, interface design and source code — is the exclusive property of Sun Cyprus Group or its licensors, and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

By publishing content on the Platform (such as vessel images or descriptions), you grant Sun Cyprus Group a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use such content solely for the purposes of operating and promoting the service.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Cyprus. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with the use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Limassol, Cyprus.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
